Morning workout...good or bad?

...Is it a bad idea to hit the weights hard at 5:30-6:00 a.m. as opposed to an afternoon or evening workout? How hard is it on the body to work out that early? I've been working out for quite some time and was told it was not a good idea in the a.m. because the body was more susceptible to injury and the body was not ready even though the mind was. Please clarify.

  1. I've heard its actually a better idea to exercise in the mornings before you eat. It is supposed to shock your metabolism and give it a boost for your day, more so than after you have eaten.

  2. A lot of people forget the concept of ANY excercise at ANY time is good. Constency is more important than when. If you warm up before lifting or cardio as you should anytime before excercising, you are fine.

  3. its actually msot effective if  you work out in the morning bc you speed up ur metabolism better and that makes u burn calories faster, i dont no about injury though but i have always heard its better to work out in the morning
