West Brom midfielder James Morrison believes that his club will prove all the doubters and critics wrong this season after many wrote West Brom off as relegation candidates following Roy Hodgson’s departure.
The midfielder has been in fine form and was the man of the hour when he scored and equalized in stoppage time at White Hart Lane this Saturday to earn West Brom a crucial away point.
The Baggies had a flying start to their Premier League campaign; they first saw off http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 at home in a 3-0 score line, and then travelled to North London to face Tottenham in an intense 1-1 draw, which saw the Baggies earn 4 points from 2 games.
Morrison was disappointed when he heard that many had already written off West Brom as relegation battlers and was also not happy at suggestions that the club will struggle without former boss Roy Hodgson.
However, the midfielder is happy that the club has made a flying start under new boss Steve Clarke and hopes that the new manager will prove all the doubters wrong and lead the club to more success. The midfielder had a message for all the doubters and had
this to say:
"Whoever has said things about our chances, what do they know? We will prove them wrong," he said. "We know we cannot get carried away, and we won't do that. We know there is a lot of hard work to do.”
"But Steve Clarke hasn't changed much. He's tweaked a few things and it's worked. We would have taken four points from our first two games. We never get an easy start. We had Man United and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 in the past. That's why pre-season
is always crucial and something we have to work on.”
"Steve makes us train very hard, he gets the best out of us. His training is very good."
West Brom recently saw off Yeovil Town in the Capital One Cup competition in a 2-4 score line and are targeting the League Cup as they prepare for winning silverware under the new boss.
