Morten Gamst Pederson, the Blackburn Rovers midfielder, has urged the club owners Venky’s to not sell any players in the January transfer window while the team was battling relegation.

Since then there have been reports linking Samba with a move away and the Congolese defender has confirmed the reports by handing in a transfer request. The 27-year-old revealed he felt he was ready for a fresh challenge which is why he wanted a Ewood Park
exit.
The club have rejected the transfer request, claiming they want to retain the services of all their key players at least until the end of the season. Pederson admitted he understood why the club wanted to do so, it was because they desperately wanted to
avoid relegation.
Pederson said while speaking to reporters:
“We have to play with the players we have got. Everybody is contracted to the club. We have to play the strongest team every week, and if people get sold or bought in that is a part of life.
For us at the moment, I think it's important for us to keep the best players and try to be safe.”
The 30-year-old winger c*m attacking midfielder felt his side had to make do with the players they had and ensure they were not in the bottom three once the season ended. He urged his teammates to remain positive and remain committed to the team in this
extremely difficult period. Pederson also mentioned the protestors and how it was necessary to ignore them and focus on their performances.
He revealed:
“Sometimes you just have to lock things out, it's tough for us, it's tough for everybody. We don't want to be in that part of the league, we don't want to be in the bottom, we want to be higher up.
But you just have to work hard and lock some things out of your head, and just focus on the games.”
