Question:

Mortgage Questions for new house

My fiance and I are going to buy a house next spring. Chase told us that employment history needs to be 2 years in the same FIELD. We are becoming nurses so would we be able to qualify for a 300k loan a few months after graduation? We should gross 100k together. Plan on about 20k to put down as well. We have virtually no debt (400/month total). Credit is around 700.

Thanks so much!!

  1. All I have to say is

    I

    Hate

    You.

Lol. I think you'll be fine. There are other banks and lenders you can go through, too, by the way who have less stringent guidelines. And a lot of first time homebuyer programs that will help you put much less down or not pay closing costs, etc. You might have to put alot less down. Like MUCH less. Less than $2,000.00 maybe. My ex paid $500 total out of pocket on a $150,000+ property last year. Talk to a realtor.

  2. You should not have any problems getting a loan right now.  I am a mortgage lender in Louisville, Ky.  My company is First Liberty Financial and we do loans across the country through Lendingtree.com.  As long as you have either 2 years employment history or your colege transcripts then we can do a loan for you today.  Either give me a call at 1-800-804-0699 ext. 1618 or e-mail me at chris.ragains@firstliberty.net.

    Thanks,

    Chris Ragains

  3. You shouldnt have a problem.  And furthermore, if there is a problem, just up the deposit and you should be fine.  Whats another 2-3 months longer before you get your dream house?
