Okay so I live in South Florida and right next to the ever glades.. so there are A LOT of mosquitoes. My friends and I are ALWAYS outside, we are usually out all day and stay outside untill about 12pm - 1am. My friends get bitten by the mosquitoes, but not as much as I do. My friends and I counted and they have about 7-8 bites then we counted mine, I have over 30! Im so Itchy! Im also allergic to grass, and heat, so that doesnt help at all! Why do I get so much more bitten up? &&how can I stop the itch?

  1. if you eat bananas or anything with tomatoes the mosquitoes can sence that and are attracted to it. i'd say avoid those foods when you plan on going out side and load on the bug spray.

i've been the the everglades and yes they are BAD there  =/

i hope you find a solution

  2. Put some itch cream on it and wait for it to dry.  Whatever you do don't put x's on them w/ your nails people say that, that helps but it just scars!!

  3. you may be getting bit more because you had more perfume on than any of them...

  4. stay inside! lol jk i hear that ammonia works well for stopping the itching of mosquito bites. You can get an ammonia stick pen from the drug store too.

  5. I have some bats living in my garage.  They eat mosquitoes and we very seldom get bit while outside in our neighborhood.  Did you try putting up a bat house?

  6. 1) Why are you bit much more than your friend?

This has yet to be determined.

According to this article, there are several factors which cause some people to be "more tasty" to mosquitoes - skin acidity, cholesterol content, etc...

    2)  How can you stop the itch?

Probably the best treatment is hydrocortisone cream...

Here is an informative site with a video and instructions on treatment.
