Most Adaptable plant you know?

What's the most adaptable plant you know of? Can be any type of plant, just needs to be really adaptable. A link to it would be nice too.

Dandelions, crabgrass and most other (ob)noxious weeds.  Weeds grow anywhere, everywhere and at any time.

Aloe Vera and spider plants ..... each will tolerate quite abusive conditions, warm, cold, smokey, forget to water .....  and they're easy to grow - aloesl just cut a tip segment and place in compost - spiders: just take a plantlet from the mother plant and place in compost! Easy!

The pothos and philodendron if you are talking about houseplants.  I couldn't kill those plants even if I tried.  Seriously folks I have many of these plants and they are my babies.  My kids are in college, my dog died of old age (17,CODA was his name,  RIP) and I don't like cats.  Plants don't need much except good potting soil, little water and Miracle-grow.  I have my lovely yardbirds and the feeder by a sunny window.  Believe it or not I am a career woman of 45.  I will get maternal and get a canary.

The most adaptable plant is one that is a "native" to your area.  Ask at a nursery.  

Marigolds are super easy to grow, and can tolerate some neglect/high heat.

tiger lillies will grow ANYWHERE !!

they fill in nicely to create an edge or a bed, but will continue to fill if you don't dig them up when they grow where you don't want them.

black eyed susans are another fairly simple flower.

best results are from bulbs, but i have purchased already flowering bulbs and they are just as happy.
