  1. Thats unlikely

  2. No, but thanks to a better education system, you know something they don't.

  3. Most Christians in any country accept evolution.

Americans are the only ones who have a problem with it.

And in case you weren't aware, Americans aren't exactly famous for their intelligence. Only 55% know the sun is a star, for example. Only one in seven young American adults (between 18 and 24) were able to locate Iran, Iraq or Afghanistan on a map.

I'm Canadian, but I lived in Missouri for five years and I was shocked when NOBODY accepted evolution there. In Canada, theists usually see it as a fact.

  4. Yes, but it is a different story with believing that the evolution theory is a fact. If you believe that the evolution theory is a fact, then you do not believe in the Word of God. I trust what God says over the words of humans

  5. A true Christian does not beleive in evolution

  6. US Christians have a personal relationship with ignorance.

  7. The majority in the US do.

  8. Most Christians period accept Evolution. Fundies go to great lengths to avoid a good knowledge of the theory so they can claim it is nonsense.

  9. if this is a true statement

first I KNOW there is a God. therefore God created man

second this statistic, i assume you have it there handy to prove the allegation, this statement proves the point that Most people will beleive what they are taught.

whether it is true or false.

third the people who are left, find their own facts and can be misled or follow truth that is not in the public education system

  10. Much as I am amused by American stupidity over this, I have to confess that I live in the UK and have never met a Christian here who did not accept evolution. The position of many US Christians is frankly laughable and insulting.

  11. No.  In fact, the opposite is true.

  12. Actually, most American Christians too.

    Most Christians worldwide in fact.

There's only a small, but incredibly vocal, minority of Christians, mostly in the US, who insist on a literal interpretation of the Bible, and claim that evolution is incompatible with that belief.

It's kind of strange, since they seem to be fine with the fact that the entirety of the realms of physics, geology, chemistry, astronomy, meteorology, zoology, biogeography, mathematics, entomology, comparative anatomy, linguistics, genetics and archaeology are also incompatible with a literal interpretation of the Bible.

  13. Yes, they do. They know Jesus as their Lord and Saviour. It helps to be a Christian, before claiming to be a Christian.

  14. No, they're more susceptible to snake oil salesmen in preacher's clothes.

  15. I would say that most Christian in the world accept evolution (believe is not an appropriate word here) as the best current explanation for the diversity of life on Earth. This anti-evolution attitude seems to be a mostly North American thing.

  16. i'm a US christian that believe in evolution

  17. It just bears witness to the fact that Brits in general have more brain cells than Yanks.
