  1. **Personally I think a player like Matthew Scarlett or Darren Milburn would be some of the most underrated players in the AFL.  Players that play in the backline generally go a bit unnoticed but are so important to their team.**

  2. Brad Sewel

  3. Jobe Watson, no doubt he has the best hands in the game and a footy brain to go with it.!

  4. heaps of lions players

like corrie (played every game this season after full season out last year coz of knee reconstruction)

or the defenders... merret, drummond, patfull, roe, macdonald

    also all the selwood bros..

    go selwood magic!!! haha

  5. Scott Thompson is one that always seems to be forgotten about with all the Ablett, Judd, Harvey, Cooney talk.

Most backmen are generally under-rated unless they're a dead set star.

For me it would definitely have to be Dale Morris. Consistently shuts down his opponents. Possible AA selection this year. Fev called him his hardest opponent he's played on. I don't know why Eade didn't start him on Fev yesterday, instead wasting his talent on shutting down some hack. Great closing speed.

  6. i would say that swan was last year this year i think that joel selwood is he is fantastic

  7. that guy from the hawks rioli if thats how its spelled

or jarrad more from the swans

  8. Adam Cooney is overlooked by a lot of people, and he is one of the elite midfielders in the AFL, but is often overshadowed by the likes of Ablett and Judd.

I also think that Brent Harvey has been perviously underated, but he has recieved some attention in the past couple of weeks.

Dane Swan was underated last yearm when he was in great form. He is playing well this year, but has recieved some more praise for hise efforts now.

  9. bernie vince

  10. i agree with one of the comments up the top, robbert harvey is a legand who gets little credit for what he does. and nick dal santo gets little credit too, hes one of the saints BEST players and he never gets any attention for the RIGHT reasons which is really getting to me now. another saints player who gets no recognition is David Armitage, When he gets 2 goals and game and 20+ possestions he still doesnt get one of the best of grounds, he a young guy and i think he needs a rising star nomination already.

  11. Roger Hayden from dockers he is a great back pocket and his career looked over when he broke his leg but he came but a lot better Remarkable

  12. The AFL is completely underated but i find it more entetaining to watch in person than the NFL. I would say Philedelphia`s QB.

  13. Jobe Watson, last month he average more than 31 disposals. Last saturday he got a career high which is 41 disposals. He is  Ranked 20th in Total Handballs and Ranked 6th in Handballs Per Game also Ranked 14th in Disposals Per Game.

Joel Corey is also under rated he is

    )Ranked 5th in Total Inside 50s, 86

)Ranked 13th in Total Kicks, 239

)Ranked 3rd in Total Handballs, 255

)Ranked 1st in Total Disposals, 494

)Ranked 5th in Total Tackles, 93

)Ranked 8th in Inside 50s Per Game, 5.1

)Ranked 4th in Handballs Per Game, 15.0

)Ranked 1st in Disposals Per Game, 29.1

)Ranked 8th in Tackles Per Game, 5.5

  14. I dont know there is to many, i could name alot that are over-rated to like Fevola

  15. don't know enough about non-Vics to agree or not, although I have heard Vince mentioned a few times in calls, and always approvingly.

In my team(Bombers)I reckon it's Ramanauskas. Undersized, has played about half the games he could have because of recurrent illness, but he always gives 109 per cent and sets a great example for the babies that make up the team this year.

Nips in under the dinosaurs' elbows and gets away with the Sherrin. He's a hero.

  16. i think Daniel Giansiracusa .

hes a integeral part of the Footscray outfit and a great player.

  17. Well stuffed if I know Brutal how people can call Judd, Corey, Harvey, Bartel under-rated ... like ffs how many brownlows and B&F's do they need to be rated.

I'll give the same answer I've given every time.   Andrew Mackie.  Beat Buddy AND Butthead last week and racked up 29 possies in the process.  Rates about five possies behind Corey for the season and is NEVER referred to as "special" by Bruce Macalvaney!  I think the kid's brilliant.  But I think I'm the only bugger who rates him - so how much more under-rated can you get.  Any more and we'd have to hang a 'leper' tag around his neck and send him off to camp.

  18. judd he leads in hard ball gets 104 gets 23+ possiesions a game and he didnt have a pre season

  19. i reckon Robert Harvey hes played 370+ games and has about 20+ possession very game

  20. Joel Selwood- young gun from Geelong who racks up 30+ possessions each week and is a fantastic player! He is only in his 2nd year and is playing like a pro!

  21. Corey from Geelong

    Sewel from Hawthorn

    Thompson from Adelaide

    Kirk from Sydney

Swan from Collingwood ( everyone talks up thomas )

  22. VINCE is definitely underrated, been watching him, he gets it a bit, another is Simon Buckley from Melbourne,   Daniel cross from the bulldogs is another,  i think Chrissy Newman is too, there are probably a couple in each side, the most, Scott Thompson perhaps, he is a gun.

  23. Probably the bloke that finishes last in the Brownlow.  He could say the umpires don't like him !
