  1. If you're looking for cheap countries to live you should look to the former eastern countries such as Czechoslovakia and Prague is soo beautiful and reasonable price-wise. Keep in mind though that cheaper almost always mean a lower standard of health care.

Other countries are Poland and Croatia.

A great city to live in otherwise would be Berlin. Berlin has everything, great public transportation, wonderful health care etc.

  2. You should not ask which is most reasonable, because I could thrown out any number of possibilities that are insanely cheap.  You need to find a city where you can find a job that pays decently and live reasonably.  The Czech Republic, Poland and Hungary are experiencing good growth and growing tourism, so there is most likely respectable work in the tourist industry to find there.  And all cities have a more reasonable area.  Try and find where other immigrants live in the area and check it out.  There is usually a relatively safe neighborhood that has cheap rent within 30 minutes of a major city's downtown area.  Talk to other people that have worked overseas and gather their experiences first though.  Also consider your talents and if it is possible to have a country send you to work in Europe.  They often pay a nice stipend and bonuses for those who travel, so do some investigation about economical and advantageous ways to get to Europe without having to work it all out yourself.
