Most affordable boat? New?

Hey

Looking at new boats, if you have recently purchased a 5-6.5 metre boat, please tell what you paid for boat-motor and trailer driveaway

If not please recomend the best 4 stroke price for your brand of outboard, and where you had it fitted if in qld

otherwise yeah I am just looking too see what sort of deals people got in that price range. From what I gather with a 4 stroke im looking about 37k, hopefully i can bring it down

Completely depends on what your looking for.

In terms of outboards, there's plenty of debate but probably the best engines are the Yamaha 4 strokes. These are also the most expensive, though. Suzuki, mercury and mariner all make great engines that are slightly more affordable.

Ultimately it's best to buy your outboard in a package with your boat. This will probably dictate which make you go for.

In terms of boats, the suggestion above to look at Quicksilver is a good one (IBS distribute their boats). They make quality boats at a very good price. Look too at Drago who make cheap boats, but perhaps with not as much quality and San Boat, by CJ marine, for example:

which is half the price you've quoted and seems to be pretty much what you're looking for.

Hope all this helps. Remember if you're buying new it's best to visit, and buy at, a boatshow. Southampton is the best one and it's coming up in September.

Motors.....Honda's are the best out there!!  Mercury has been around for a while and they are OK too...but I would personally go with Honda...I've had some problems with my Mercury in the past....after all it's a GM product :(

i truely believe the best value in the market today are sea ray bow rider boats.  Excellent quality at a fair price.
