Most amount of rewrites?

Hi! I was simply curious, for all authors/writers out there, what was the most amount of rewrites you've ever had to do for a book? Thank you!

for me, it was about 2 rewrites going on three, its a fantasy story

I'm at about 16 on my main project, a Sci-Fi Fantasy novel with a map and lots of other related stuff - With no end in sight. But this is a really complicated plot that I've been trying to develop for a long time. Do you plan on writing?
