  2. a. along plate boundaries

  3. Answer is "A", earthquakes occur on plate boundaries. They occurr because the plates want to move, they run into eachother and lock up. From time to time, the built in stress from the movment pressure exceeds the ability of the "locking" to hold the movment and the two plates will jump or slide past eachother, releasing the built up stress, but producing a huge shockwave and motion we know as an earthquake.

  4. If you want to know where it is located it is under tectonic plate boundary.

  5. A

Because most earthquakes happen around plate boundaries. You know of the Earthquake that happened in China near Nepal right? Well, that area is near a plate boundary and the Himalayan mountains are on one of the most power ones in the world. Also, in California along the San Andrea's Fault, I've heard of an earthquake happening there and I believe that there was one in San Francisco, California that was horrible. I don't really know for sure it was San Francisco or Las Angeles. Don't remember that well.
