Assuming these were methods employed by a terrorist group with absolutely no qualms and restrictions, what would they be?

electricity, exposure to heat or cold, cutting, mangling, mutilation, and more recently sensory deprivation.  Also I suppose you could deprive the person of sleep or food.

Watch the scene in Braveheart where the English torture and murder the captive William Wallace. Asides from making sure you don't kill the hostage, this will surely get the captive person babbling all of their secrets.
