Most elegent batsmen?

Question

David Gower is the most elegant batsman i have ever seen.I don't recall seeing him play a wild or loose shot.How do you rate him(feel free to tell me i'm wrong).Suggestions welcome.

Mark Waugh and Herschelle Gibbs are the two most elegant (not elegent) batsmen I saw playing. Rahul Dravid is a close third. Never saw David Gower play, but I reckon he was really good.

Well I haven't seen Gower play since he was before my time, but I have heard quite a bit about him.  Of the players, I have seen, these were the most elegant:

1. Brian Lara

2. Azharuddin

3. VVS Laxman

4. Mark Waugh

david gower was a very elegant batsmen, and seemed very calm and composed at th crease. There is also such a thing as lazy elegance which suits wasim jaffer and fleming. Elegant batsmen are usually referred to left handers like, yuvraj singh, brian lara, then theres the few exceptions like, vaughan, laxman and azzudarin

You said it!  His strokes were so fluid and graceful.  You couldn't even blame him when he got out with a bad shot, because it looked so elegant.
