Most entertaining fight for Calzaghe fans?

Question

Do his fans prefer to see Joe fight a real live prospect like Pavlic Taylor or even fellow southpaw Tarver than another fighter well past his sell by date like Jones jnr,it's ok saying he's going were the money is,that's what Jones did for years,but does he owe it to his fans to also provide an entertaining fight which he failed to provide with Hopkins,not to mention sad little Manfredo??What do you think?

A tarver fight would be a nightmare to watch!

I agree BHop kept the last fight from being exciting.

I personally think he should call it a career, and hang up the gloves.  There are no safe fights for JC anymore, and his 0 will likely not last two more fights.

Yes he schooled Jeff Lacy, and he looked great against Kessler, but I have a hard time buying what JC is selling.

The best fight for him is RJJ.  A likely tko for JC, and then he could fight Tarver as his last fight.  I think he would beat Tarver, but that might be a painful fight to see.

The most entertaining fight would be against Edison Miranda- that would be the best 3 round fight you could see anywhere.  No doubt a KO, and likely Miranda doing it to JC.

If you are looking for entertainment in a Calzaghe between those opponents mentions, then I think a fight with Pavlik would be the one. I don't think Pavlik knows how to back peddle, lol. He would keep coming forward towards the action. At the same time, Calzaghe is not going to run away either.

A fight against Tarver would probably be boring, with one-side action coming from Calzaghe.

I think Jones has gotten too cautious over the last couple of years (for understandable reasons) to make the fight exciting. I think this would be a one-sided action fight as well, but it would be better than a fight with Tarver.

i would like to see calzaghe fight taylor or pavlik if hed move up i think roy jones needs to have another decent win before people will give joe any credibility for fighting him maybe calzaghe taylor and jones tarver and then if both calzaghe andjones come through they can cash in and fight each over then retire

I'm not a fan of Calzaghe but I am a boxing fan and feel that both he and Hopkins( due to tireing cos of age) were to blame for last weeks sloppy showdown.I will never be won over for this guy until he fights a top class fighter under 30,like he was 25 when he took the verdict against Eubank in 1997,and Eubank 35!Hopkins was 43 and put up a magnificent show for his age,give credit were it's due.For me it's Pavlic,Taylor if they move up shortly or Miranda/Tarver.Tarver should be worth watching as 2 Southpaws is a challenge for either fighter,and personally I feel he or Miranda are well capable of beating Calzaghe by KO.

a fight with tarver could be a good one, however two southpaw's don't always make a good fight.

zsolt erdei could be another one.

i think people like you who question joe calzaghe should read his CV again then re-watch the fight of him taking jeff lacy to school

CALZAGHE didnt fail to provide an entertaining fight with hopkins, HOPKINS did by being a cling-on!

i agree though that the manfredo fight wasnt calzaghes best, to say the least
