Most fish & Chip Take aways are shut mondays, but why are chinese take aways closed on tuesdays?

  1. Closed day for chinese take away depend on the owner, normally on a less busy day. And for a Fish and Chip shop, it is dependable on fresh delivery day. If your chip shop sell frozen fish, it is open most day. Fresh fish market don't open if the fish man don't come in.

    If you look at this in  24 HOURS clock/date chart.

    By law, if it have not change (EU?????) fish and chip shop is breaking the law if it open sunday in the UK.  However if you also sell chinese food or kebeb or pizza then it is ok to open on Sunday with fish and chip shop.  In am not too sure about fish and chip restaurant.

  6. my local chinese takeaway is closed on tuesday too. i guess thats the day of less business as everyone is back into the workign week by then and cooking their own meals

  7. because the fish and chip storeowners are busy eating at chinese places on mondays, and chinese stores are busy eating at fish and chip places on tuesdays

  10. They're not closed on Tuesday's here. Gosh, sometimes it seems like they never closed. Rain, sunshine, snow, sleet, hurricane, disasters, etc..lol they're open 24 hrs here where I live.
