Question:

Most gold fish like to be in school's, right?

2 of my 3 gold fish just died, and i was wondering if i should get any more fish for my tank for the one still living fish.

right now the only other living thing in there with the gold fish is an african dwarf frog

an di dont think he's much company to the fish

any suggestions?

  1. Have you got  a pump or bubbler in your tank. If not the fish Will die from lack of Oxygen.

    i would buy 6 or more white cloud moutain minnows they are compatable with small goldfish and they school

    large goldfish might eat them

  3. wow, beginner. Goldfish are cold water. African dwarf frogs are tropical. They should not live together. An adult goldfish could eat an African dwarf frog, plus with 3 goldfish you would need a 40 gallon tank, and to make sure an African dwarf frog gets all he needs to eat, he needs to live in a smaller tank. Take the frog out. Unless you already do, get a bigger tank. THEN and only THEN can you THINK about getting more goldfish. And yes they enjoy company.

  4. You don't need to get more goldfish, but if your tank is big enough, you can if you want to. Its really up to you because the goldfish can survive by itself without a problem (in his eyes, he's getting all the food without needing to share :) )
