New York Rangers: No. 2
The New York Ranger’s Brian Leetch occupies a spot in the list as he is one of the best players in Rangers’ history and the National Hockey League. Leetch was one of the best players that the Rangers have seen.
He was one of the key players in the team and played a very important role as they achieved a tremendous amount of success. He has played 1129 games for the team and has been very productive as he has 240 goals and piled 741 assists. Leetch has scored a
total of 981 points and with the diverse knowledge that he has about the game, he has been able to outclass several others.
With the skills and the talent that Brian had, he surely made a name for himself and brought a lot of success to the New York Rangers. He was brought into the Rangers in 1987 and stayed until 2004. Not only this, but he has been able to get into the leader
board of New York when it comes to the most assists in the Rangers’ and power-play goals.
He was one of the most skilful players in the National Hockey League and he was ninth draft overall in 1986. His journey with the Rangers ended when he was traded to the Toronto Maple Leafs in 2004.
Detroit Red Wings: No.12
The Number 12 of the Red Wings was worn by Sid Abel and he proved one of the great players in the team. He was one of those players who were able to be productive and bring around a lot of success.
Sid was involved in 570 games of the Red Wings and scored 184 goals for the team, 279 assists and scored a total of 463 points. He was brought into Detroit in 1939 and stayed until 1952. However, he was traded away from Detroit in 1952 to the Chicago Blackhawks.
New Jersey Devils: No. 30
The first goal-keeper to be mentioned in the list is New Jersey Devils’ goal-keeper Martin Brodeur. He has spent his entire career with the Devils and is still present there.
He played 1132 games in National Hockey League for the Devils but with his game changing performances he managed to bring a tremendous amount of success for the Devils. He played a very important role in the Devils late surge to make their way into the play-off
cut, but they were unable to do so.
Brodeur has been named the best goal-keeper on several occasions and has been a part of the Devils since 1990. He has recorded 625 wins during which he has been able to pile up a phenomenal 116 shut-out performances and maintains a very good 2.22 goals against
average.
He has already become a great in the Devils’ history as he has most number of wins for a goal-keeper in the franchise and also leads with the lowest goal against average. His shut-out performances that he has come up also put him on top of the list for most
shut-out performances.
He was the 20th draft pick in 1990 and has not departed from the Devils as yet and from the looks of it, he will stay there for quite some time and bring a lot of success to the team.
