Beethoven... the ninth symphony. The finale is considered the most perfect melody ever written. Beethoven was stone deaf at the time.

The Wright Bros. The Flyer III. A lot of people were working on airplanes at the time but the Wrights were the first to take a methodical, scientific approach and they were the first to get everything right.
