It's more specific about how to live your life than many quotes. It's not about some abstract success, and it's not one of those dishonest but hopeful quotes about how if you work hard, you will surely succeed. We all know, when we take a look around at those who fight so hard but whose circumstances are beyond changing, and beyond overcoming... it's not always true. Sometimes hard luck eclipses hard work....

But this quote is about simple compassion for everyone around you. It reminds me to be softer towards people. Even strangers. Even people on Yahoo Answers. Because we all have our own struggles - some worse than others - that others may never know about. And kindnesses are never wasted, no matter how small.
