Moms and Dads.... what is your most memorable moment of being a parent?? I would have to say mine would be when my little ones always cheer me up after a rough day at work. They really enjoy singing or dancing for me... they love making me laugh!

  1. i have to say when my son was one month old and making a lot of sounds. well one day i was telling my husband that he was acting like an *** to ppl. and then i called him an a*****e. our son laying on our bed said yeeeaaah!! really clear and loud. it was funny to both of us. i was shocked.

  2. There are so many!!!  My favorite FUN moment was surprising my daughters with a trip to Disneyland.  They had no idea until we got to the airport!!  When we told them, my oldest burst into tears from happiness.

    My most sentimental.....

With my oldest, the first time I held her.  It was magical

With #2....She was critical for 2wks and the list of things that could go wrong was extremely long.  The first time she laughed, I burst into tears and knew she beat all the odds

With #3...Watching my grandfather hold my son for the first time.  It was a beautiful blend of wisdom and innocense.

  3. i would have to say the day my son was born! it was the most best magical day of my life

  4. One of my most memorable moments when my son was a baby ( I have a few lol) was when my mom was holding him up in the air after he just finished a bottle and he was laughing then spitup and it fell right in her mouth lol.  Another one would be when he was born my mom was expecting a girl and out pops this boy with huge balls and all she could say was "oh my god look at them balls" lol the Dr started laughing it was hilarious.

  5. She brings me joy everyday! A few of mine would have to be when we went to go visit my father in the hospital (he suffered a minor heart attack) She sat on his lap, and had a magazine(Time magazine) in her hand, and she started to "read" to him about a princess who had every colored dress, and then she look in my dads eyes and said "Lolo buy me every color dresses?" it was adorable. Another time was I thought she went to sleep for nap time, but while I was cleaning she came down in my make up (lipstick all over her face!) two of her left shoes and her ballet toutou and said "I to big for nap, we gonna be late!" it was hilarious!

  6. Oh, there are so so many; but, the one that sticks out in my mind right now is when my son was stationed in Afghanistan. He was in the Marine Corp. My daughter and a friend of hers came by to visit one day and while they were here we were talking about him; he was due to come home in about 3 weeks or so, I thought. When they started to leave, they asked my hubby & I to join them that evening when he got off work at a local club for a drink, as her friend had to leave to return home to New Jersey the next day. I said maybe, as I hadn't felt well in the last few weeks, but told hubby he should go even if I didn't.

Later that afternoon, he asked about it again--I really didn't want to go, but he insisted we should-- said we would just stay for a drink or two, but that we hardly ever saw my daughter, so we really should go--- so I said okay!

We went out about 8:30p.m. or so-- met them-- not hardly anyone there-- we enjoyed just sitting around talking with them and drinking a couple of beers-- my back has been really bad since 2001,(some type rare arthritis of spine), so I can't sit or stand for very long; I asked about one of my sons best friends Scott. who used to come here pretty often, and his sister said she hadn't heard from him lately--

I got up and told them I had to move around a little-- I walked back toward the back of the club and decided to go to the potty while back there, and then see if my hubby was ready to take this old lady home!!

I came out of the rest-room, and there stood my handsome marine, in full dress blues, looking so formal, so handsome, I just burst into tears at the sight of him!!! He had been home for 2 days without me knowing it, and had planned this meeting so we could dance and have fun!! Said he had been wanting to party with his mama for 6 months!!

    That was pretty cool!!

  7. It sounds like you have some great kids who love you a lot.

Mine are all grown and out on their own now but the times they would do something to make me laugh were probably the best times for me also. A lot of times these were just innocent things they would do, not even realizing they were lifting my mood. Now that I have a granddaughter, she is taking over where they left off.
