Considering their work's nature, salary and compensation, how people look at them, how hard it is to be one, etc.

Jobs as in nurses, lawyers, welders, etc.

  1. The most noble occupation is teaching at a major university.  One of the top few, e.g., MIT, Stanford, University of Chicago, LSE, Yale, Berkeley, etc.  Most professors teach an average of 12-15 hours a week and pursue their own research for the rest of the time.  Usually they are compensated well and are knowledgeable of the most recent advances in many fields.  If one reviews the NORC scores for most prestigious occupations you will discover that most people choose that of professor.


  2. the most noble job for me is nursing, because as a nurse there are lot of responsibility and hard work, as a nurse we save life and help the other people. and a nursing can be a manager, but a manager cannot be a nurse.
