Most painful place to get a tattoo ?

i want one going down my side, or near my ribs, how painful ?

I don't know but I was watching Miami Ink and they ( the tattoo artists) were saying the the butt was the most painful place to get a tattoo.

I have one on my upper rib cage that I thought at the time was the most painful place, especially when you are getting a lot of color ~they have to go in deeper with the needle.

  Then I had one done 3 yrs ago around my ankle that hurt worse than giving birth to both my sons combined. I had to scream into a pillow and tears were rolling down my face. It was all I could do to hold my leg still, and I came close to calling it quits with half a tattoo! Boy was I unprepared for that. But it came out beautiful, aqua blue foaming ocean waves with three dolphins jumping through them that I designed myself to symbolize my two sons, (the Calif surfer boys) and me.

Like them, it was worth all the pain.

i had my lipstick and eyeliner tattooed,it didn't hurt but my lips were blistered for about a week and my eyelids swelled shut for a while

my tattoo guy always tells me everytime i go in FEET are the worse, but I can't tell you from experiance because none of my tatts are on my feet or ribs but i will tell you from experiance if you really want it on your ribs just suck it up and get it there, the tatt will be with you the rest of your life, don't just settle for what you don't want bc you are scared of a little pain, you will regret it later. when i wanted to get one the back of my neck i had 50 ppl yellin and laughin sayin it hurts so bad on your neck you not gone be able to take it and bla bla bla but i did it anyways bc i knew i would have to live with it, i am glad i got it where i wanted it, and turned out it didnt really hurt, was about the same as my others on arms ect, so just go for it if thats where and what you really want

i love tats but i wouldnt DARE have one there lol, but then again, men are c**p at pain, if u r female and u do get it done it would be interesting to see if you said the same as the men

the most painful spots are places where the skin is thin, there is bone and muscle.. such as spine, ribs and ankles..

least painful is fatty areas.. such as lower back and butt.

speaking from a heavily inked woman.. the spine was def a killer, all the nerves run up there.. ribs also hurt quite a bit, due to the bone so close to the surface... but its all worth it. :)

no matter what ppl say, tattoos do hurt, just depends on the person and placing on the body

But, both your sides and ribcage would be a rough spot.

Ribs are the most painful place to get tattooed. First off, it's all bone. On normal people, there isn't much muscle, so the needle feels as though it's hitting pure bone and nerves. You will feel the pain through your entire ribcage.

My feet hurt more than my sternum and the parts of my backpiece that cover my spine combined.

I was surprised at how little that my chest hurt comparatively, I had always heard that was one of the absolute worst places.

It'll hurt, but tattoos are always bearable.
