What's the most amount of players to figure in a PGA Tour playoff?

The record is six, and it's occurred twice. First at the 1994 GTE Byron Nelson Classic between eventual winner Neal Lancaster and Tom Byrum, Mark Carnevale, David Edwards, Yoshinori Mizumaki and David Ogrin. The second time was at the 2001 Nissan Open, when eventual winner Robert Allenby, was joined by Toshi Izawa, Brandel Chamblee, Bob Tway, Jeff Sluman and Dennis Paulson.
