Most powerful commerical airliner?

Does anyone know which commerical airliner has the best thrust to weight ratio and the quickest rate of climb at maximum gross weight?

i'd say the a380, coz it's flaming big, and have you seen the way it can climb when the protection is turned off??

That's going to be a tough one to answer because of all the different options the airlines put on their aircraft. Different makes ie.GE,Rolls Royce, Pratt & Whitney along with different thrust or size of engines to the same model of aircraft.  I will say that it is a very interesting question though.

Just a guess but I would guess the B-747-8 freighter version or the A-380 freighter, neither of which have been built yet since freighters usually want to carry the heaviest load possible so have the biggest engines installed but it is just a guess.  Would a Gulfstream V confiqured for passenger use quailify? Then that would be my guess.

I would give it to the Concorde because it did not have the advantage of Fans to get it off the deck.  Must have been a lot of Thrust and it was a relatively light Aircraft.

it would probably be the concorde or the 777 they are both huge airliners with fairly large engines
