Most simple definition for a cell?

I would really like to hear the most simple definition someone can come up with for defining a cell.

  1. Hmm, lessee. A cell is:

    1) A structure bound by a phospholipid bilayer,

    2) containing mostly water inside,

    3) which takes in energy and materials,

    4) produces and hydrolyzes ATP to drive endergonic reactions,

    5) stores genetic information as DNA,

    6) transcribes that information into RNA,

    7) and has ribosomes which translate that information into protein.

    How was that?
