The first time was in 2003, when she won the title at Sydney, Indian Wells, Rome, 's-Hertogenbosch, Stanford, Los Angeles, Filderstadt, Luxembourg and the Tour Championships. The second time was in 2005, when the nine titles included her first Grand Slam – the US Open – and Indian Wells, Miami, Eastbourne, Stanford, Los Angeles, Toronto, Luxembourg and Hasselt.
