Do you think the Sabres should try and sign Hossa. Do you think he will address some of the needs the team has and would the amount cap space he would take up be worth it?

  1. I'd love to see him here, but I also agree with Jay, the D needs more beef.

  2. Take him, he'll just s***w you over in a few years anyway.

    ********.

  3. Hossa would be a bad fit.  He costs too much to sign and would result in losing Miller or Pominville.  The Penguin free agent the Sabres should be looking at is Brooks Orpik to bring in some beef to the D.

  4. I don't think that would be a bad idea for Buffalo, why not? He is a world class two-way player with a wicked shot..

Although it would be great if he would open his eyes and sign that $50 million deal with Pittsburgh, selfish b@stard....

  5. hossa isnt work 8 million dollars if they could get him for 6.5 m than of course sign him

  6. No way, im a flyers fan and i still dont think that ANY PITTSBURGH PLAYER IS A TRUE HOCKEY PLAYER!!!!!!!!!!!!

  7. No, I don't think the team should go after Hossa. I don't think the team needs any more scoring, since they finished 4th(?) in the league at that. The team needs some defencemen and some veteran leadership. The Sabres want their spending to top around $50 million dollars, and having him and trying to sign Pominville and Miller would be next to impossible, not to mention that they need to get a quality defenceman before next season starts. It just wouldn't be possible.

  8. Although I'm not a Hossa fan, I think he'd be a good fit with the Sabres. They should be able to find enough wiggle room under the cap without losing too much. He can replace some of the offence they lost last year without being a defencive liability. It makes more sense to me to see him go to Buffalo than some of the other destinations I keep hearing.

Realistically though, I don't see it happening. Something about Darcy Reiger and paying players what they're worth just doesn't seem to go together.
