Moth/Bee/Dragonfly/Mutant gigantic bug...?

Question

Well... I walked outside, and saw what looked like a small hummingbird floating about the flowers. I thought it was unusual for a hummingbird to be out at 4 AM. Anyway, I got a flashlight, and walked up to it. O.O. It was a massive Moth/Bee thing. It had a bee's abdomen, a Moths shape, And a size of a hummingbird. The wings looked like dragonfly wings. It didn't appear to have a stinger, And it didn't make any sounds when it floated about the flowers. What the h**l is it? Any information would be great. Thanks.

It may be a hummingbird moth.
