Mother's day present?

i wanna make something and give it to my mom. i was thinking about a drawing or a sketch. what should i put on the drawing? what do moms like?

Could you do a self portrait? All moms are different and like different things (ie flowers, animals, etc) but i can guarantee one thing that she loves and that's you so a hand drawn sketch of you would melt her heart I'm sure x

Your question struck me because it reminded me of the sketch I did of my mother many years ago to present to her on her birthday. It wasn't by any means perfect, but she loved it and I remember being pretty pleased with it myself at the time. The thing is...I saw that sketch recently and it reminded me of how I saw my mum 20 years ago and it touched me more than any photograph would have. Talk about sweep of nostalgia! It almost made me wish I'd continued it each year as a birthday tradition...

It's just an idea - why not draw her instead of yourself? Not that she wouldn't be overjoyed either way....
