Mother Cat being to ruff with kittens?

I have a Cat who had 2 kittens. they are now a little over a week old and we are noticing that one has sores and the other one has open wounds on the back of the neck that keep gettin worse.. We are pretty sure its from the mother being to ruff. they dont move around to much and just stay in the box with blankets in it. there is no way the environment could have caused the damage to them. We have seperated the mother from the kittens for the time being and allow supervised feeding/bathroom breaks. We dont know what to use to properly clean the wound and stop it from happening again. We are just using warm water and a cloth for now and plan on calling the vet tomorrow. We cant afford to take them to the vet atm so we are just looking for any advice. THank you very much.

  1. It is a part of their life. May the cat want to make her kittens learn about something.
