Mother/Daughter Charity League?

Question

I've looked into a local charity league but membership is by invitation only...like that's going to happen. But what I've seen seems like something my daughter and I would enjoy...so I thought I would see if some friends would like to start something on our own. Why not? Anyways, seeing as though I've never participated in anything like this, I'd like to know if anyone has any ideas to help me get my idea out of the "wishing" phase. Thanks!

Its a good combination of 50% of the world....may be theme like ..responsible part of the citizens ....

Most groups like this that are by invite only are just attention getting social clubs that are not worthy of getting the time, energy, or money of anyone.  

Check with your local chapter of the United way, or with the Easter Seals Org. , they may have some very good ideas.  

If you attend a local church or house of worship check with them.
