  1. They both lived and loved people... each in her own way., each had a lasting influence. Both unassuming women.  We would do well to emulate them....

  2. They both did a lot of good, but in such different ways. Diana brought a lot interest from the world with the issues she took up, but Mother Teresa was actually in the trenches, so to speak, with people who really needed her help. I would say Mother Teresa for that reason alone, but Diana deserves a lot of credit for what she did.

  3. Mother Teresa She gave her whole life to help others

  4. Princess Diana, she touched so many lives without being so judgmental. She was innocent and loving and forgiving with no boundaries!!!!!................ ;)

  5. It's no contest, they were both really great women that did wonderous things for the universe.

  6. Princess Diana!!!  I believe that she did so much for this world and she didn't have to.  She could have been just like any other royalty snob but she wasn't and she went out to help people in need.  Princess Diana went out to war zones and mine fields just to show the people that there is someone out there who cares for them.  I also admire Mother Teresa, but Princess Diana was always someone whom I looked up to and admired. It's sad that her life was cut short because who knows what more she could have done for this world.

  7. I just can't choose.I like them both. They were both great.I don't think one was any better than the other. They both did good for the world.

  8. Mother Theresa, who devoted her life to what she felt to be God's call to care for the poor.

Diana was a nice young woman, but if she hadn't married well, she would have probably been married to some Lord such-and-such, punched out a few kids, and spent her holidays at the beach, and we would never have heard of her again, except as a footnote in Charles' biography as an "also-ran". She drifted through her young life going to finishing school, being a nanny, working in a pre-school -- all the proper things young ladies of good family did before they caught someone. She didn't exhibit any drive or need to help others until she was in the spotlight. Yes, she was compassionate and caring -- but she didn't really DO anything, unlike Mother Theresa. She simply brought attention to various causes that touched her, such as AIDS.

  9. Both.  They both died in 1997.

  10. This seems a strange question for the "Royalty" section, since Mother Teresa was not royalty...  but - here goes anyway:

I don't think that this is a comparison which really has any meaning...  it feels like Apples to Oranges.

Mother Teresa gave her entire life to helping the poor of the world.  Princess Diana married a Prince - and while she did indeed do many good things, and inspired many people, the level of her committment and sacrifice wasn't even comparable.

Mother Teresa has been spoken of as a possible Saint candidate...  Princess Diana never did anything worthy of that level of respect, good as her intentions were.

  11. princess diana

  12. When it comes right down to brass tacks... it has to be Mother Teresa. I respect Diana and all the good she did, but Teresa gave up her whole life.

Yes, it could be argued, in a way, that Diana did, too. But for Diana, charity was a byproduct of her fame. For Mother Teresa, it was her life.

Still, both had their individual callings, and both did good with them.

  13. Neither.  Mother Teresa didn't care about the poor.  She just wanted to be a famous figure in history and everything she did was motivated by that.  It's a power move.  She wanted the poor to keep being poor so that she would have something to do.  What has she really done to alleviate anyone's suffering?  Princess Diana... same thing.  She just went to Africa for the photo opts of holding poor black children.  But nothing she did really helped to improve the African Crisis.

  14. Mother Theresa.  She worked tirelessly for many decades in India.  She wasn't a part of a glorious monacrhy.  She lived a thankless existence.
