Mother and daughter real story help?

Working on a film project on the theme of 'Mother and daughter'.. Haven't find any ideas out of the box.. The theme I have in mind is the relationship between mother and a smart teenage daughter, the in common and non-common things between them like the way they dress up, the way they put on makeup, the way they think about boys and etc.. Could any of you suggest a real story with a twist?

Every mother/daughter relationship is different.  Some get along great, others not so great.  Some do a lot of things similar, some are polar opposites.  I suggest sticking to a subject you know something more about, something you can work personal experience into.

you could make her find out that her dad is not actually her dad or something and this breaks the bond between the mother and daughter because she hates her for not telling her, or some big secret that she finds out or something good luck =]
