  1. Hi, shake and bake chicken is really easy. At the grocery store they sell a mix for this. It has the mix and comes with a bag for you to put your meat in. They have different flavors. If you arent able to get to the store, you can use 2 cups flour, 2 cups ground crackers (if you use saltines do not use salt) 2 TBS sugar, 1 TSP garlic powder, 4 tsp paprika, 1 tsp onion powder, 1 tsp pepper, 1 TSP sage and 1 TSP thyme. Mix all of this up and put it in a bag add your chick a couple pieces at a time and shake! If you dont like the seasonings add your own. At the grocery store they also have gravy mix. If not, you use grease, flour, milk, salt and pepper. Start out with the hot grease, add a little flour, add a little milk and salt and pepper, just keep alternating them. I hope this helps!

  2. if you bought the shake and bake mix follow the directions otherwise

whip 2 eggs together and coat the chicken

using bread crumbs (hopefully the italian seasoning ones )

add a little salt and garlic to breadcrumbs in a bag drop a piece or two of chicken in shake to coat

    continue with all the chicken

lace on a cookie sheet stick in oven at 375 for aprox 1 hour

    homemade gravy

chicken broth or drippings from the chicken you are making

put in skillet at high heat of using broth add some butter

when boiling add a small amount of flour mixed with hot water

    to form a loose paste

add slowly to boiling dripings while mixing with a fork

remove from heat when almost thick enough

    or try lemon /parsley potatoes...yummy

chunk potatoes boil till done drain add butter salt lemon juice and parsley mix well

    hope this helps

  3. They have direction on the box of shake n bake. I would definitely do mashed potatoes. You can omit the gravy and just use butter and salt and pepper! Or just do baked potatoes with the broccoli and some melted cheese on it. That's nice that you're making dinner for your mil. I'd go out and get a good basic cookbook and make it a goal to learn to make some basic things this year.
