Hello

My mother quit her job yesterday.

She siad that the person that she works with has been premoted as her supervisor.

Because this woman is a *****, she bullied my mother to try and get her fired by making up lies about her.

My mother was then told off by the manager of the department.

My mother has also reported the fact that she has been lied about to the manager, and has made an official complaint which stlill back-fired.

What would you suggest is the next appropriate course of action?

  1. My 100% honest piece of advice as a employer for 35 years is "MOVE ON". Life is to short to mess with this and create more stress in your mom's life. I mentor people just like your mother to get out of these situations and move on with their life. I am always available to answer any questions and help in anyway I can.

  2. Your mother should just find another job.

Bottom line is your first sentence ... Your mother QUIT her job.

    Sorry

Good Luck to her in the future.

  3. Does your mother have proof of the harassment?   She should consider meeting with a lawyer.

If your mother was wrongfully dismissed she would have a case against the company.

Anyway, that's what I would do.  Talk to a lawyer.  Dont talk to the company anymore.  Just ask the lawyer for advice and options.

  4. Let your mother handle it - it sounds like she knows what to do.
