Motherboards - a sign of the times?

Don't you think it's a sign of the times that you only get motherboards in PC's? The fatherboard is nowhere to be seen.

I think that some of you are being a bit unfair. If that is meant to be a joke then well done, but if not, then here's why. Mothers when pregnant give their children food and oxygen via the placenta. Like the power cables and electronic buses you'll see on motherboards. The computer nerds saw the link and used it. As you'll have noticed, the name stuck.

Father boards arne't really as loving in nature.
