Motion sickness in car for a 19 month old?

My son is 19 months and suffers from motion sickness from last month severely.I tried giving him ginger cookies which he does'nt want to eat so I took the extract of ginger and mixed it with honey (did'nt work for him) ,then I tried the sea bands seeing it from previous post(did'nt work either).Can any one give some suggestions please.He throws up within 3-5th min as soon as he is in the car.
