Motivation in crew?

Question

what is the best way to motivate girls in a sport? I am a coxswain for PR crew and have coxed a girls boat before but I don't feel i should treat it like a guys boat and scream at them the whole time. any idea what does motivate females well?

I'm a girl rower and my coxwain motivates us by saying what the rewards will be at the finish line if we win .. NEVER ever ever tell them good job during the race, because this implies to the girls they're doing a good enough job and they can bring the pressure down. good luck... if you need more help im sure you can google it
