Question:

Moto Gp (Brno) Tipping - before first practice

After reading about Rossi supposedly going to get more power for the M1 at Brno. and before any kind of qualifying times. I was wondering who the Tippsters are tipping. I wont hold anyone to their picks. Im just curious as to who thinks Rossi can do Stoner again. or will the Suzuki's throw a spanner in the works. Pedrossa and Lorenzo should be fit (maybe not Lorenzo) Hayden with something to prove. Dovi going great on his well underpowered machine. I personally think Stoner is going to eat Rossi. the track is too wide with too many racing lines for anyone to get in his way. Even if the Pedrobot gets a flyer, I think the Red beast will catch him. so.. Im saying Stoner to win. Pedrossa to Place All to finish.

All subject to change after Qualifying.

What do you think ?

  1. Hi Proc

I agree with you. Brno is too wide to allow Vale to do what he did at Laguna (if Casey had got any space, he would have run away with it). I know the Yam is supposed to get a power boost, but I cant see it being capable of out dragging the Duc (Yam=Big Bang, Duc=Screamer, which also explains why its a bit of a handfull to mere mortals.............stoner being the exception). I think Casey's biggest threat will come from a fit Pedrosa. It's gonna be a tough choice. Can't discount Rossi obviously.........but for now I'm going with Stoner to win, Pedrosa to place and Randy dePuniet to binn it! Should be a stonkin race. As has been mentioned, Suzuki is supposed to get a power increase, and one more decent result will more or less garantee Chris's place next season.

  2. I think Stoner struggled around Laguna Seca but will do alot better at Brno. Should be a good race as it is pretty close at the top, with Dani, Casey and Valentino all wanting their say!! Vermeulen not doing to bad either! :o)

    Edit - I'll go for 1. Stoner, 2. Rossi 3. Pedrosa

  3. I GO FOR PEDROSA ROSSI  STONER...

  4. lol at sazm82 - both Rossi and Stoner were both on the limit!

As always - I will have Rossi for the win, with Stoner getting a place and de Puniet to chuck it in the gravel trap (he rarely lets me down!). I think Stoner will be out to prove a big point next weekend, and as Neillgti says, he has a lot more room at this track. Hopefully it'll be a battle to the end - no time trials.

I think Lorenzo will be riding more gingerly this time round and (although they are tough guys) I cant see Pedrosa battling right at the front. Definately think that there will be a Suzuki on the podium too - not sure who as Capi usually goes better after the summer break.

    Cant wait for next week

  5. Hello Mr Proc,

Bruno is a belting race track, with lots of overtaking places.

I feel that Vale is on such on a roll at the moment that he will be hard to beat. Yes the Yamaha will get more power, but do we really think Ducati are going to sit back after the " beating " at Laguna ?

As for samz82 ............... Stoner struggled ? Yes he had a bad 06 race, as he did not finish, but 07 & 08 were not really a " struggle "

But to go back to the main question .......... sorry, I was just enjoying an ice cold french beer .............. ( home wednesday ) ............

I think Rossi for the top step.

Casey will be less then 3 seconds behind.

    I'm going for Chris V for 3rd ( again )

The Bridgstones are getting good with the Suzuki now and we know Chris is on top form.

As for 4th. Dani-pot or Lorenzo. Not sure yet.

  6. STONER PEDROSA AND ROSSI AND HOW CAN IT BE SAID STONER STRUGGLED AT LAGUNA SECA IT WAS ROSSI DOING WHAT HE DOES BEST WHEN THINGS DONT GO HIS WAY AFTER ALL HE DID THE SAME TO SETE A NUMBER OF TIMES . SUZUKI ARE SUPPOSED TO HAVE SOMETHING IN THE OFFING SO WHO KNOWS WE ALL COULD BE WRONG .
