Moto X Challenge announces dates for the latest season of AM FMX series – Motocross News
Moto X Challenge announced the schedule for the 2012 Amateur (AM) Freestyle Motocross (FMX) series.
Once again, the series is being hosted by the owner of FMX East Clint Esposito and X Games Gold Medallist Chuck Carothers. Both the riders have been involved in FMX for over a decade now and made valuable contributions for the promotion and progression of
the sport.
The upcoming AM FMX series will give an opportunity to the amateur riders to compete at some of the best FMX spots in America while building their skills. The series has been launched with the intended motivation of giving the riders a platform where they
can earn enough experience to rise from amateurs to professional stars.
Commenting on the 2012 AM FMX series during an interview with ESPN, Esposito said, “We are very excited for this year's Moto X Challenge Amateur Series. As with anything, the more you do, the more you learn, so we are looking forward to utilizing the things
we learned from past years to make the series even better. However, the goal of the series is the same as it has always been -- to give guys an avenue into the sport and the opportunity to meet people who share the love of FMX all while having a great time.”
The owner of FMX East went on to add that his team was focusing on giving riders around the nation a chance to attend at least one, if not more, events of the upcoming freestyle motocross amateur series. In an effort to give maximum number of riders an opportunity
to become part of the series, an event had been scheduled for almost every region.
Recognising travelling as an integral part of FMX, Esposito said that by scheduling an event in every region, they have done the best they can to get the riders involved in the series despite their inability or hesitance to travel.
Esposito is expecting an attendance of around 15 riders at every event of the 2012 AM FMX series. He justified the small expected attendance with the fact that the FMX industry is still quite small and the concentration of FMX enthusiasts in a given region
is quite limited. However, he still hopes for the series to be a success and bring some really promising FMX talent into spotlight.
