............. what rule book ?

If you ride a KTM 125, that is sponsored by Repsol, you would think the last thing to wrong would be your fuel being against the rules.

Read here : http://www.crash.net/motorsport/motogp/news/167596-0/125_rabat_excluded_from_german_gp_results.html

Young Rabat has had his 9th place taken away from him.

Real good job Repsol. Well done. You have two feet and you just shot yourself in both in one go.

What next ? The AMA / DMG is corrupt at the moment, but I never thought I would see a full factory set up like KTM / Repsol " bending " the rule book. What I also cant figure is why. The KTM is F.A.F anyway.

Just like Josh Hayes at Daytona and Rapp in the AMA, and now Rabet, its the rider I feel sorry for. His job is sling his leg over and ride, not check the fuel regs.

Your thoughts please 125cc super dooper race fans ?

  1. Hi Wiggysan, I will get back to you on this one. Just need to look at what the wording on the rule is. seems a bit strange to me.

Edit   ....   Had a look at the rule bookhttp://www.fim.ch/en/default.asp?item=27...

and to be honest I cant make head nor tail of these figures.

I can only assume that the team and rider would not know a thing . Repsol on the other hand MIGHT have known. Itsa shame Rabat gets penalised but Repsol should be aware of the fuel they are providing.  It probably was just over the regulation spec.  thats what the scrutineers are there for!!

Like I say rules are meant to be bent, just not broken.

Looks like Repsol got too close to the mark.
