MotoGP fans: What's the best motorcycle racing school in the world?

If you are a fan of MotoGP and could go anywhere in the world to attend racing school, where would you go?

Background: My husband loves watching motorcycle racing and has a small collection of bikes in our garage (Ducati 900 SSSP I believe, and a Triumph Sprint). He turns 40 in 2009 and talks often about the Freddie Spencer racing school in Las Vegas. I'm thinking birthday present. But, if we're going to travel across the country for this (we live in NC), I thought I'd ask about racing schools on a global basis. Worldwide, are there any Freddie Spencer-like racing schools? Or better?

  2. There are more top Road Racers in Australia than in the States at present , so the good news is you are off to Australia.

There are many courses available but remember if he has'nt been on a  race-track b4 you need to book him into a course

where the instructors, can put him through a couple of days of brushing up on, all of "his riding techniques first".

Remember as  racers we know exactly what we are going to do {oops i just fell off } so to have good systems and procedures  as a rider is vital.

    I recommend www.stayupright.com.au.

Get over here as soon as you can and we will give your husband the skills necessary to quietly proceed in the "Advanced Rider "courses.

  3. I have never been to his school .....but while I was at the NMA mini Nationals in vegas there was a race school going on at the track (we camped along the fence beside it) I was impressed with the level of coaching I saw.  they had a safety crew and were closely watching all the riders. that alone was enough to make me want to go there. I must say that your hubby is a very lucky man to have a wife who is so supportive.

  4. In Barry M's list you will find a link to the  Kieth Code Race School.

    This guy is a master.

He wrote a book called A Twist of the wrist, and after [ just ] reading the book, i cut 1.5 seconds off my lap times at Cadwell Park ( track in the UK ).

Any of the links that Barry has listed would be an amazing present for your hubby.

What a lucky boy he is!
