Motobecane Road Bikes?

Question

Are the frames good how are they compared to Fuji's, Scattantes, and Merciers? Like how is the welding? etc.

i buddy of mine has a moto, i dont know much about them, but he really likes it. great components looks great - he got his thru bikes direct. terrence also seems very knowledgable as well. those bike snobs irritate me too! good luck have fun be safe!

Motobecanes are great bikes. I personally ride Felt bikes but I'm also considering purchasing a Motobecane. Comparing them to Fuji is easy because they are the same bike. Motobecanes are essentially rebadged Fujis. The welds on their aluminum models are nice and they use some pretty good components for their prices.What makes them so great is that Fuji is already a high quality bike with lots of value in it. Motobecane takes a value bike and rebadged and sell it for even less. Some twits sporting pseudo-s****. rigs (Trek comes to mind) may scoff at you, but you have the piece of mind in knowing that your bike is at the same level of quality as their bikes and you have more money in your pocket because you chose not to pay for their manufacturers marketing. I don't hate Trek, but I know that you pay a premium to ride the brand that Lance used to race on even if they don't tell you. Others scoff because it's not a common brand found at many bike shops, but who cares. You just used your noggin to get you  more bang for your buck. As long as you ride and you like what you ride, go for it. Also, if you look at some of their prices on Bikes Direct, you'll see that they are selling for less than their parts cost. Buy it and have a ball, but before you do, go to a bike shop and get fitted on a Fuji. Since it will be the same bike, it will fit you the same. Good luck
