  1. It is not just from braking, or from opening, but also from a piece of gravel  or a twig, jamming them, in an open position, by sticking in the open lever position, that they are helpful, they also give more protection to your hands, and you will lose control if they are injured, so my advice is to use them......

  2. No it wouldnt they are only plastic

  3. No it's just to keep mud and water off of them on nasty days.

  4. well dont get just the plastic ones, get ones with a metal bar that goes from the end of the grip, to the middle of the handbar and plastic on that, they are more for offroad but i have some on my bike that actually are pretty stylyish, they are acerbis or something like that, or liek they said get asv levers

  5. well they would protect your hands but their plastic and your levers are metal so but they could save it on an occasion

  6. Its possible, but if you just try not to fall you wont brake them

  7. You should get some ASV levers....You break it they replace it....Hand guards are pretty cool too...If you ride trails it will keep branches from whacking your hands....Racing..they keep the roost off..

Check out the ASV levers here..

  8. The proper motocross plastic handguards only bolt to the perch, so they will keep roost and dirt off your hands, but if you were to drop the bike, it's weight would more than likely break the plastic guards as well as your lever.

You can buy levers that are guaranteed not to break they just cost more.  The hand guards are a good idea if you are on a track that is full of rocks and my son sure wished he had a pair on his bike at the weekend when a large rock hit his hand hard enough to make it bleed through his gloves.

The bark buster guards you can get will protect your levers but then they may also break your hands or arms in the process so not a good idea.

  9. i bought some off motosport.com aand they woere good for about 2months then i fell bad and 1 cr4rack

i suggest u get 1 so u dont mess up the clutch or brake
