Motocross flips? please help me!

im having a little dissagreement with my dad, we are watching the X games, and i started saying that i think that doing flips is a normal trick, and that its not the most difficult thing to do, he says that doing any kind of flip is almost impossible...please help me settle this!!! thanks so much!

The backflip is a standard trick now.  To be competitive in Freestyle MX you have to be able to do a backflip.  The double Backflip is insanely hard and is really a risk.  A frontflip to me is almost suicide but if people are willing to try it, it's cool.   But yeas most flips on a motorcycle are hard.  A normal backflip is a normal trick yet hard.  The double backflip and frontflip are almost impossible, but don't tell that to the pros.

i'm sure it's difficult but it's standard now. i even get bored sometimes when people can't throw one...and i'm counting down the time until someone throws a front flip..i really wish pastrana would go for it.

Freestyle backflips have been around for a while and a double has beem done by a few of the fmx riders like Travis Pastrana and Scott Murray.

Work is being done on a front flip and a couple of riders have been doing them into foam pits, but I don't think anyone has successfully landed one in competition yet.
