  1. It's really just trial and error. Make a jump, try it, change it, repeat if needed.

  2. Kato is right in that trial and error is a big part of building a track.  We had to change ours a number of times to get the distance correct and the upramps and landings just right.

Next time you go to a motocross track and are allowed to walk the track pace out the distance between the jumps to give you a rough idea of where to start.

  3. I must be the wrong line of business or country !!

My back yard is only 130ft long, by 45ft wide.

It was OK for my son (then 3) to learn to ride his PW50, but now he's 6 and on a KTM, our back yard is now where near big enough!!!!!!!!!

Your motox track, your yard, go biiiiiiiiiiig.

  4. Each jump should be geared towards what you want.  If your experienced the jumps may be steep.  If your a novice then it could be a bit less.  Try this website.

  5. Table tops are usually about 45 degree angle for the ramp and exit. As for the other jumps they are usually about 30 degrees from horizontal. The less the footage, the less the angle.

  6. 90 degrees.
