What way does a motor rotate clockwise or counterclockwise? Also does it matter the type of motor? If so what way would a kl03 (probe) motor rotate?

  1. the motor rotates clockwise. The motor from Mazdas MX-6 is used in all Probes.

  2. most engines do rotate clock wise but from i have heard and seen dodge made an engine that spun the other direction, i cannot give you an engine size or any information like that. honda/accura v6s turn the opposite direction that the 4 cylinders do, or that is what i understand.

  3. counterclockwise (from the drivers seat)

  4. As viewed from the front, most automobile engines rotate clockwise. I first learned that from my first car, a '53 MG. I regularly had to hand crank it when I was too cheap to replace a shot battery. Later experience with a wide range of American cars has confirmed this impression. Don't know which way a Probe engine rotates but I'd give 10 to 1 odds that it also is clockwise.

  5. HI

It should be clockwise. If your asking in order to do the firing order the it would be best to pop the cap off the distributor and crank the motor a little and watch it as some times even tho the motor goes clockwise the distributor can turn counterclockwise.

    good luck
