  1. Child can pull themselves to standing between 9 & 12 months. The child can usually walk well (unaided) between 12 & 18 months of age. He/she will run at about 2 years and other skills such as walking backwards, jumping and skipping will all begin to develop about 3 years.

  2. around 4 and hopefully by age 5. They really should be able to do all this when starting kindergarten.

walking well and running should be bwtween 1-2.

  3. at one they begin to start walking and then as they age and it more practice, they are able to walk really well, which is about 2. there is a difference in motor skill development for girls and boys... some girls may learn to skip and jump w/support faster than some boys and it may be visa verse... i would say that all of the skills listed occur around the age of 6, since the child is in school and there are several activities that promote large motor development.

  4. Usually at the age of 4, children have developed general motor skills. I have seen children develop as early as 3 yrs. old and as late as 5.
