Motor wont stay running

Question

my engine will crank but die immediatly die the starter is engaging the fuel pump is buzzing and there is fuel in the tank

Need more info, year, make, model, etc.

Edit: Okay...Bad fuel pump / clogged fuel filter, Bad coil, Bad spark plug gap or wiring, Bad rotor or cap, Bad condenser or welded / burned points (or Ignition module), Ignition timing is off, valve timing is off, Bad idle speed adjustment...Hope that helps.

cranks and starts but dies I presume you are saying. this leads me to think the car is loosing power to the coil after you start up.

It is your ignition switch which is located behind the steering column
